Welcome to Morocco! Upon arrival to Marrakech you will meet your driver and transferred to your hotel for the check in. The driver will provide a short overview of your entire trip in Morocco. The rest of the day is at leisure. It’s possible you’ll like to begin your exploration of this exceptional and vibrant city, or chill out in your lodge and uncover its facilities. Spend the overnight with dinner at the hotel.

After breakfast, you will be escorted by a local tour guide to explore the city of Marrakech. You will visit the main historical monuments including: the gorgeous Bahia palace built in 19th century, the Saadian tombs a 17th century Royal necropolis, the Koranic School of Ben Youssef, and the Koutoubia mosque built in 12th century. You will also visit the famous Souks; a great place for shopping where you can buy presents for your family, friends or yourselves. Relax in the Majorelle Gardens, a peaceful space in the New Town with exotic botanical plants brought from all over the world. You will finish your tour in the main square of Djemaa Lefna with its story tellers, snake charmers, musicians, acrobats and open air food stalls. You will also have free time to enjoy a soft drink in one of the cafes where you can get amazing panoramic views across the square. The rest of the day is at leisure with overnight at the Riad or hotel.

Today we start driving west to the coastal city of Essaouira. It is just 170 km from the imperial city Marrakech. A City on the coast line of the Atlantic Ocean where there is the forest of the Agran Trees (Goat Trees). You will have a magnificent stop to admire the goats climbing the Argan trees. You will also visit one of the cooperatives of women where they are extracting the ‘’Moroccan oil’’ known for its cosmetic benefits. You will explore the 18th century small Medina and like a nice walk along the beach of the city. The sounds of seagulls will replace the noises of Marrakech also a stress less city where you will see different arts: painting and sculpture. Spend the overnight with dinner in a hotel or Riad.

Essaouira is a really welcoming and engaging metropolis with a lovely outdated Medina which is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site that by no means ceases to seduce its guests. The attractiveness of Essaouira is mirrored in its stunning structure, cultural treasures, curving sandy seashores, and beautiful mixture of ocean view. You will enjoy walking along the beach, and exploring the old Medina. With visits to the port, handicrafts complex, Moroccan Jewelers and the market this is a great place to buy souvenirs. For wonderful panoramic views then Skalla, close to the sea, is the place to be. Enjoy a delicious fish lunch in a local restaurant. Spend the overnight with breakfast at the hotel.

Today we follow the coastline south on the magnificent coastal road to Agadir and even further, on into the Souss-Massa National Park. You will settle into your charming local hotel that overlooks a long powdery sand beach with an exceptional natural setting. You will have the afternoon at leisure with a picturesque sunset on the side of the ocean. Spend the overnight with dinner at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will have a half day sightseeing tour of Agadir virtually destroyed and then rebuilt following an earthquake in 1960, it is the most modern of the country’s cities, but still retains a sense of its past. You will start with a visit to Agadir Kasbah, a medieval hilltop fortress that was built by the Berbers in 1540. A few miles out from the city center is Coco Polizzi La Médina d’Agadir, a life-size, open-air recreation of Agadir’s former medina, which was wrecked by the earthquake. Constructed in 1992 using traditional Berber techniques, this place is part museum, part work of art. Afterwards, we visit Agadir’s Souk El Had where many of the city’s residents do their shopping. Even if you’re not one for souvenir buying, the atmosphere here alone makes the trip worthwhile. It’s a total sensory immersion, and a wonderful place in which to get lost for a while. The afternoon at leisure to relax at the hotel or by the beach side and you can try some sea activities such as surfing. Spend the overnight with breakfast at the hotel.

Get back on the road and drive to Mirleft as a seaside resort. During this drive of about a hundred kilometers, you’ll see that the beaches have hardly been touched by man. At Mirleft, a little fishing village on the ocean, a guesthouse surrounded by sea awaits. This southern Kasbah, with a 360° ocean view, reflects the ancestral know-how of Morocco’s artisans in its decor. Here you can relax or get to know the personality of this region off the beaten track or explore the ancient Spanish enclave of Sidi Ifni a few kilometers away. We spend the overnight with dinner at the hotel or sea view guest house.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will take new trails through the foothills of the Anti-Atlas where small oases and Berber villages are surrounded by a landscape of Desert Mountains. You will reach the beautiful village of Tafraoute located 1,200m above sea level, amid a circus of huge blocks of pink granite ablaze at sunset in beautiful shades of pink, ocher and purple. After lunch and a visit to explore the Blue Mountains rocks, we drive through the amazing sceneries of the Anti Atlas Mountains. The tour will reach into the town of Taroudant where you will rest for the night with dinner in a hotel.

Today after breakfast at the hotel, we are going to cross the spectacular pass of Tizi-n-test (2092m) on the amazing High Atlas Mountains. It is a magnificent road with snow peaks where you will stop several times for nice picture of Berber villages on the slope of the hills. Driving down the way you will be attracted by Tin Mil village and Mosque that worth to be visited. The 12th century Almohad Dynasty built this beautiful ancient Tin Mil mosque in 1156 and was their first assembly before they became a powerful ruler of the country. We head towards the Green Asni valley and to finish this enjoyable journey in Marrakech. Spend the night with breakfast at the hotel.

We were booked and had paid a deposit for a trip late March of 2020, which was canceled due to the pandemic. Said, the owner of MD, went to extraordinary lengths to refund the deposits for our travel group of six from the U.S. Apparently the Moroccan banking system is not "user friendly" when it comes to wire transfers for reasons unclear to me. Nevertheless, Said managed to refund all our money using a very creative approach. We would DEFINITELY travel with MD in the future given this level of honesty and effort; but we do hope that MD will accept credit cards rather than wires in the future. Three of use booked a 19-day with Moroccan Discovery Holidays for March, 2020 and paid a 50% deposit. When Morocco closed its borders due to Covid. Initially we put our trip on hold and asked Said to hold our deposit. Said agreed to this. When it appeared holiday travel would likely go on for many months we asked for a refund. Said again agreed but the Moroccan banks, being what they are, refused to release all of our deposit. With some pressure on the bank from us and Said's help we did receive 100% of our deposit.
We planned our April-May 2020 trip to Morocco in the late fall of 2019 and worked with Said at Morocco Discovery. We were taking our adult children and their partners and Said was patient and added everything we wanted and more. One month prior to travel we were surprised by the pandemic, with flights cancelled, borders closed and no idea when we could travel again. Said remained as diligent, helpful and honest throughout the arduous process of refunding our downpayment. We were thrilled with Said, and his company's commitment to customer service and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone travelling to Morocco. As soon as it is safe again it is our intent to rebook with them!
From their already outstanding reviews when I started working with Sayd, this was an amazing experience. I got prompt friendly responses to every question I had and as this was our first trip to Africa I had a lot of questions. The price was incredibly reasonable - I don’t know how they can put the trip together on this budget. We stayed at amazing Riads in every city with excellent food every evening and great breakfasts - our driver was AMAZING- he was always ready wherever we were 1 minute before we needed him. The prearranged guides were the best. If you are going to Morocco - you want to go with Morocco Discovery and you definitely want a driver.
I have to admit, when I first started looking at using a local Moroccan tour company for our trip I was very nervous. After having toured Morocco for 11 days with Morocco Discovery Holidays, I would HIGHLY recommend them without any hesitation. Said worked with me for over a year to come up with a customized trip that included everything we (2 couples) wanted to see and more. Every change I made to the itinerary was completed within hours of my request.. and I made many. Said is very prompt at responding to e-mails and questions. Having a private driver was definitely the ideal way to see Morocco. Our driver, Mohamed was amazing. From the minute he met us at the airport (with sweets to welcome us) until he dropped us off at the port for our journey to Spain, Mohamed could not do enough for us. Mohamed is funny, engaging, very knowledgeable and was totally flexible and I felt very safe at all times, even on the curvy, narrow road. If I wanted him to turn around so I could take a picture, he would…and Did!! LOL Our Riads were beautiful and the meals that were included were some of the best meals we had in Morocco. I cannot say enough about the 5* service and attention we received from Morocco Discovery Holidays and Mohamed during our trip.
Mr Said provided us with a very pleasant and safe driver (Mustafa) as well as a new van, so we had a very enjoyable round trip Casablanca-Rabat-Fes- Marrakech-Casablanca. Local guides accompanied us in Fes and Marrakech, and we could have had other tours but we opted to spend more time walking around the towns. The Riads selected for us were very satisfactory and service all round was great. No hesitation at all in recommending Morocco Discovery.
Said arranged an excellent holiday for us. We began with one of the standard trips as our starting point and adapted it to better suit our needs with an added night here and there and starting in Marrakesh rather than Casablanca. Everything went very smoothly from start to finish.The choice of the Riads in which we stayed was great, as were the guides that were arranged for us. Abdoul proved to be a first rate driver - safe, dependable, friendly and very professional. We felt very comfortable being driven by him and we enjoyed his company.
