Short Break New Year Tour

This New Year Eve 's itinerary will highlight the extreme contrasts and splendor of the south region. Your desert experience will be one you will treasure for a lifetime. This three days New year tour is a big discovery to Erg Chigaga.

• Day 1 : Marrakech to Mhamid via the Atlas Mountains and Draa Valley

After breakfast, travel from Marrakech across the Tizi-n-Tichka pass (2260 m) offering spectacular panoramic views of the mountains and valleys with a snaky road. Visit Ait Benhadou as one of the best preserved and most spectacular kasbah in Morocco. The trip continues through the palm-lined Draa river valley to the village of Tamgroute to visit the famous Koranic Library and subterranean Kasbah and the Manufacture of pottery. Then, continue towards M’hamid for the night with dinner either in a hotel or in a desert camp.

• Day 2 : Mhamid to Erg Chigaga via a Sacred Oasis ( New Year Big Party )

After breakfast, departure on the back Camels crossing small dunes lunch under a shadowy Tamarisk tree. It is a worthy experience of a simpler, quieter life and a sojourn off the beaten track. Around 03 p.m we take a track which carries out through the rocky, desert scenery towards the sand dunes of Chigaga. Welcome drink. Then you enjoy the sunset. A big party with music and dance to the rhythms of Sahara. Overnight in desert camp or under a star-filled sky with evening meal.

• Day 3 : Erg Chigaga Desert to Marrakech via Iriqui lake and Taznakht

After enjoying the sunrise up the chigaga sand dunes, breakfast is served to you, then departure in 4x4 vehicles via the old Paris-Dakar road to Foum Zguid, crossing Iriqui lake. Lunch in the berber village Taznakht. Then, we continue our desert safari towards the Atlas Mountains. Arrival to Marrakech about 6:30 p.m
