Desert Majesty Tour
Explore the South region in four days starting from Agadir and ending the tour in either Agadir or Marrakech. This desert majesty tour will take you through the best of Morocco where the diversity people are as varied as the landscape itself.
- Day 1 : Agadir to Ouarzazate via Taroudante and Taliouine
Enjoy breakfast and departure to Ouarzazate, and the South of Morocco, via Taroudant, one of the oldest city of Morocco, which has kept intact the character of its past. we continue to Ouarzazate. 35 km before joining Ouarzazate city we will stop to visit the kasbah of Ait Benhaddou a UNESCO site, where we are going to have lunch. In the Afternnon we leave to Ouarzazate to visit the city. Dinner and lodging at a hotel in Ouarzazate.
- Day 2 : Ouarzazate to M’hamid via Draa Valley
After breakfast at the hotel, departure with 4x4 jeeps to M'hamid through the Draa Valley and its thousand kasbahs, skirting a grove of over 200 km. On the way visit of the Kasbah of Tamnougalt and crossing the Draa palm grove on track, then joining the main road until Zagora. Visit of the Village of Tamgeroute best know by the cooperative of green poetries, and its ancient library with books from the 11th century. Road to M’hamid, where you start a camel ride walk to join the desert camp and to enjoy a wonderful sunset in the desert. Dinner and overnight in nomad tents or it is possible to spend the night with dinner in a hotel in M'hamid.
- Day 3: M'hamid to Erg Chigaga via Sacred Oasis
After breakfast, departure by 4x4 jeeps to cross the desert: sand dunes, Oasis, Hamada …until the big sandy dunes of Chigaga, the largest sand dunes in Morocco. Lunch under the shade of palm trees, tamarisk. In the afternoon, we continue the track to join the desert Bivouac and have a taste of the real nomadic life, with all its secrets. Dinner and overnight in nomad tents or under the stars.
- Day 4: Erg Chigaga to Agadir via Foum Zguid and Taznakht
After breakfast departure to follow the track between Taliouine and Erg Chigaga along the dry Lake Iriqui. Then Foum Zguid and onwards by road to Taznakht (optional stop in a cooperative carpet for a properly itemize the kinds of carpets in the region). After lunch we take the road to Taliouine, famous for its safran and then join Taroudant, also known as the small Marrakech with its red ramparts and souks. After then drive back to Agadir.
